    interested?

personally i would love to see this. even if they are two old relics. they should have got it on years ago and the press conferences alone would make it worthwhile.

better late than never and bernard has hinted at a possible HW move in the past.

    MAKE IT HAPPEN!!

Bernard Hopkins needs to put his balls on, and eat some cheeseburgers so we could see this, but he is more afraid of James Toney than a 5 year old would be of watching "The Exorcist" at midnight, alone in a haunted house.

Hopkins is just too disciplined to make HW. He's probably walking around right now at 175-180. If they fought, i think Hopkins would be way too slick and fast for Toney though.

Oh please. The man is disciplined, unlike someone else we know. Shame on him for staying in tip top shape huh? Who knows how great Toney would've been had he stayed disciplined his whole career.

Would be interesting to see two wily old *******s going at it.

Can't really see it happening though, BHop would basically have to become a fatarse cause it would take atleast a year to genuinely build to HW. Unless he headed for 195-200 odd and had a crack.

Bernard Hopkins would hide in the Women's Restrooms if he thought JT was around. Toney ko'd Holy, beat Ruiz and hit the Rock hard enough to wobble his bodybuilder ass in the third last night. Hopkins couldnt move any heavyweight, except possibly Chris Byrd at this point, and that isnt a given. Toney would rock Bernard's world.

Toney would have to take him down to Burger king. They'd probably get thrown out for arguing.

    :good

BHop is 1.85 m and brought the middleweight limit over more then ten years again and again and again..................., although he is a natural light heavy.

No way. This would come much too late.

James Toney would **** his ass up in the Boxing Ring, in a barroom brawl, or out on the streets.

    Good post.

But i just don't see Hopkins letting his body get fat. He is a dedicated professional. I just can't see him letting go and having the excess needed to be a HW.

Can a HW fight at a weight lower than 200 lbs if he chooses to? Say Hopkins weighed about 190. Can he fight at HW or do the rules state that you must be at least 200?

I dn't know about that. After he fought Tarver, I read somewhere that he said he was weighing 195 pounds when he stepped on a scale at a fight card promoted by Golden Boy.

    But yes, Hopkins UD.

Hopkins is a pretty big guy, I'm pretty sure he could weigh 200 pounds without looking fat.
