Eric Brown has been around the block, he is a solid trainer and knows his ****, he worked with Vernon Forrest for his come back fight against Rios...

he is as good as Freddy IMO in fact I remember when I was sparring with Panda, He came to our corner in between rounds and basicly yelled at me to move out of the ****ing way when I am done getting off, this game isnt about who can take a better shot this is a game about who doesnt allow the other man to land the better shots.....

What the ****? Toney totally outclassed Ruiz.

He also ****ed up Vitali in sparring and would give him hell of a fight even today.
Just look how clueless Vitali was against Johnsons defense. Now when you think Toney can actually accurately counter in far superior defense you know Vitali will have hard night

 

Toney outclassed Ruiz on steroids and it wasnt exactly out class neither, that was probably one of the best performances we have seen from Ruiz.... he did very well in that fight

 

No it was offered to fight Vitaly in 2005. However my internet connection is so slow right now that I cant be bothered to search link again.

Well if you did post it here, you should be able to find it in your post history, but note if its the word of jame toney during an interview that doesnt mean its fact or truth, Why would Freddy Roach lie about it?

I asked him if Toney would ever fight either if there was a chance, Roach said Vitali had already made them an offer but Toney turned it down.

I asked what was the offer, Roach said 60/40 split, and I then said so he wants 50/50? Roach then said 60/40 is pretty fair to me dont you think? as he chuckled... Even Roach knew Toney didnt want that fight...

I kinda knew this little **** weasel Ellie Setbach would go straight to the punch drunk Toney and ask him rather than ask Freddie Roach, who would give us a more honest answer.

I say just feed Toney to Vitali. Vitali can batter him and get him out of the limelight.
