James is being James. Half joking, half serious with a dash of Eubonics.

    That's all.

Because Holyfield was SHOT. James had a lot more left than what was left of Holyfield.

Was Holmes beating Ali a good win too? :rofl

Even Danny Williams admitted Tyson was way past his best. And even on second thought when he wanted to give himself a little bit of credit for the win, after viewing the McBride fight___he tossed it all out as Tyson was just gone as a fighter. You didn't see Danny going around saying he would have whooped Holyfield too___and why not toss in Lewis, Holmes, Ali, etc.

SMW Toney vs. CW/HW Holyfield, and especially HW Tyson; might even be a bigger mismatch because Toney wouldn't have the cushion nor the strength to take the blows.

Yes past his best. trouble understanding? He wasnt prime Holyfield but he was still a solid heavy, an a former middleweight stopping him like that was still a good win.

Are you really this slow? prior to the holy fight james was a cruiser. Nobody said Holy was at his peak, he wasnt, but he was still a test for anyone moving up especially a former middleweight. great win. Your not making sense though so im leaving this thread

Solid HW in this era isn't saying much. Louis was a solid HW (to some) in Marciano's era despite being way past his prime when he faced off against Marciano.

Past his best is like the Ruiz fight. The Lewis fight. Some were even talking about Holyfield past his best, along with Tyson himself, when they faced each other in their meetings.

Holyfield in the Toney fight was just pure sad to watch and had been before that. People wanted Holyfield to retire a long time before that and for good reason.

So? Holy was never a big HW.

    And OLD IS OLD.

Marciano was a 185 pound fighter whooping on a shot Louis. It doesn't make it a good win when the Old Timer doesn't have his ability anymore.

  9. Yeah he beat a 50 year old Holyfield who had a hole in his heart. I think even post prime Tyson gives Toney trouble.

If the James that beat Iran Barkley roided up to 205, I could see him beating Tyson.

It's Lights Out forever but he's struggling with neurological difficulties these days.

That's part of what made him such a bad mother****er.

  13. The fact that Toney fought at middleweight makes it impressive that he has the skills and ability to absorb heavyweight shots... But he loses to Tyson via shoulder roll fail and a nice KTFO.
