Well Toney was a fat slob when he met Peter BUT point taken, I just don't see him being competitive with 88 Tyson.

Toney would be knocked out like Larry Holmes was.

He'd be yelling on people to help him up.

An in shape Toney weighs 190. At 190 he cannot beat Tyson, how could he?

An in shape enough toney to be alert enough to have fought a
prime tyson would've been to small. I thought Toney was at his best
at 190lbs. Any version of toney at heavy woud've been steamrolled
    by tyson.

Tyson by way of the referee counting to 10.

The 217 lb. version that beat up an old Holy would be intriguing fight against Tyson. No one ever knocked Toney out, one hell of a chin. Toney would have been able to counter Tyson as Tyson's come-forward style absolutely plays to Toney's strengths. It's a closer fight than people think. Fact is that Tyson never fought anyone near Toney's skills until Douglas showed how to beat him.

An in-shape Toney weighs more like 168! A lot of people don't seem to realize that the guy is not a natural heavyweight! :yep

In heavyweight he did none of those things. Prior to heavy he did some of those things.

Heavy nuthugging here. Jones didn't run in that fight, not plodding forward doesn't make you a runner. He absolutely schooled Toney too in his prime. Toney fought often, but anyone? His resume is thin for how many fights he has on record, he was often much more sizzle than steak.

Just like Toney was going to ruin in MMA eh. **** James Toney. I loved that Jirov win, but everything since has been smoke and mirrors and steroids.

You really think a guy Toney's size avoids all those bombs? Mike is the most accurate, fast handed bomber in history. Good luck James. Keep him off you with your little inside hooks. That'll stop him
