He aint making 158Ibs on the day, so he'll be fighting heavyweights. I think he could win the Black title against Klondike and Childs. He'd probably scholl Jack Johnson when he's young, but at what point would Johnson get good enough to beat him? Then again, his style wouldn't work great with the smaller gloves and early rules, how well could he adapt? He tried MMA and didn't adapt at all, but that was a one off and he was pretty old. If he didn't adapt maybe Childs et al. would beat him. I think Langford beats him most of the time, but Toney would likely pick up an odd win. Probably similar with Jeanette, McVea was cruder, so maybe Toney would do best against him. I imagine he'd fight some white contenders, Philadelphia Jack O'Brien, and Joe Choynski might be interesting ones. If you want imagine him being white to remove colorline issues.
