In a live blog yesterday, Toney was asked about his condition from a fan and his reply was he had lost 2 pounds. :patsch

    :lol::good

I do sympathize. Imagine the **** you guys on the MMA sections are going to have to put up for days, maybe even weeks, after the event if Toney actually pulls it off.

I know a top boxer defeating an extremely old fighter with a weak ass chin who has almost as many loses as wins. That will prove something. hahaha and Vice versa. I want to see current top boxers and current top MMA fighters.

Personally i won't give a ****...Like i said in a different thread... The outcome of this fight is irrelevant... If Toney KOs Couture...oh well...It's been done already. & not even by boxers. + the guy is 46 or 47...and his chin sucks.

If Toney loses...Here again...it's irrelevant. Because he's supposed to suck on the ground. Plus , like couture...he's past his prime.

Obviously , if Toney manages to pull something unexpected...(such as a gogoplata or a kimura)...Now that would be a big embarrassment for Randy & the UFC. (since what happens to randy reflects on the ufc).

Let's not get it twisted, Boxingcar. Any form of defeat; submission, knockout, or decision, will be embarrassing not only for Randy but Mixed Martial Arts in general.

If Toney KO's Couture, I'll see it in the same way I see any other one dimensional striker succeed in MMA. Not a big deal at all.

So if Randy submits JT then boxing should be embaressed? I don't think so.

:huh I can't tell if you're being serious or not.

This is Mixed Martial Arts. Why would Boxing be embarrassed that one of their own has been defeated in another sport? Randy is supposed to win, if one of the greatest Mixed Martial Artists of all time is defeated by a Boxer in his first fight in the UFC, that will be embarrassing. I don't see how anyone could dispute this?

Different in as much that even a one dimensional MMA fighter will train takedown defence, scrambling and be aware of kicks etc. Boxing is one aspect of striking MMA-wise as strikes include kicks, knees and elbows. All of this is new to JT.

How will JT respond to a leg kick? Will he be able to check it? All boxers punch from the ground up so I imagine after one or two leg kicks his balance and therefore power will be down anyway.

Randy will have to do something really ****ing dumb to even get close to losing this fight. And one thing you have to say about Randy is he is the best in the business at sticking to a gameplan.

:lol: That was me who asked that question, i have attached below.

    Hi JT,
How are you going to approach this MMA matchup with Randy? Are you down to a decent weight? and have you been doing a lot of cross over training?
    Best of luck

    Hi The Beave,
I’ve been doing any kind of training there is to get ready and my boxing has helped a lot.
    I’ve dropped about 2 pounds.
