Just watched Toney-Jirov and thought that was the best version of Toney north of Super-Middleweight. How do you see this fight going?
Jones wins a few rds narrowly until being caught by a crisp counter and l8er finished by a combination if he got up at all . Toney vs Jones != drained 2death Toney vs Jones . Jones knew all of it and avoided fighting a live Toney just like he avoided fighting live opponents throughout his prime and even a few yrs past his prime . Tarver , Glen Johnson , Calzaghe , Hopkins (#2) , Lacy , Tito :yep & Danny Green were not prime either by de time when dey fot Jones
toney was much better at cruiser and hw, he had a sturdy chin and he could carry more weight and power than the fragile framed jones
dis kams from some1 whom had watched something like 5 fighters' careers , and some 10 fights which did not involve them 5 fighters overall , and in addition 2 it all , was drunk /& hi bai de taim he watched de vast majority of de few faits det hi wocht . naw du not meik mi fil esheimd of mai pur nowlej of de sport
Jones Jr in similar fashion as the first fight. He's a stylistic nightmare for Toney and us too quick getting in and out without getting tagged.
It'd be more competitive than their first fight because Toney would actually get up for a rematch with Jones, considering it's all he wanted after the first fight. but I think Vassiliy Jirov had a better shot at beating Roy Jones than Toney did. styles make fights
