Only pressure Toney will have is from the sensation of being hit by Wladimirs right hand leads. :smoke

You can't say Rahman quit when he couldn't continue due to bleeding caused by a headbutt.

It's not like he broke his nose and wanted out, dude got butted.

Hasim's still a b*tch though, but he got butted.

**and maybe the Valuev/Ruiz winner would be a more realistic opponent for Toney, since Wlad is facing Povetkin.

I'll have to agree that James even at 39 is still 1 of the more skilled fighters, hopefully he can get some kinda Title opportunity as I'd like to see how he can do.

He can make him miss sometimes, but to counter he would need some extra reach. Just like I said - rewatch Wlad-Byrd I, and take into account Toney is even shorter than Byrd (and probably not quicker than prime Byrd).

Wow he is still skilled? you call struggling with bums when your juiced skilled? WOW!~ and how can you make that arguement based off three rounds with Rahman?
The man was skilled but right now at this point in his career he is not the James Lights Out Toney we know far from it.

of course he's skilled, or else Toney wouldn't even get by those bums

if a 45 year old Holyfield can get a shot at Ibragimov

why can't Toney get 1 more crack at a Title?

Toney is incapable of putting pressure on anything but the ground on which he walks nowadays.

Actually, if you are familliar with CHEF, he said this in the People who think James Toney has no little chance against the Klitschko's thread... that...

...and here's all WLAD's outcomes after the Peter fight, and before that distgusting display that they tried to call HW boxing, when he fought IGGY.

    KO7 Byrd
    KO7 Brock
    KO2 Austin
RTD6 Brewster (the medically suspended boxer quit on his stool)

So even the guy who works with KLIT sees James being more successful challenger. So don't blame me. Take it from James "Lights Out" Toney...

Well, as much as I think Toney is too short, too fat and too old, I have to say this.

    Waldo looked ordinary against Thomson.

I swear to god, I have seen statues move more than "the tiger" did after round 1. He stood straight in front of Wald, put his guard up, and didn't move.

Not to mention throwing about 5 wide, looping punches a round, which Waldo wasn't happy about.

Early on when Thomson actually moved and threw some punches - especially when he whacked Wald in the body, Wlad definitely wasn't happy, and looked concerned.

I thought it was disgraceful how long it took Wald to get "the tiger" out of there. He could virtually hit him at will for the last few rounds, but still didn't.

Thomson had had enough after about 5 rounds. And still it took about another 6 rounds to finish him.

Before that fight, I've always (reluctantly due to all the Klit maniacs) thought Wlad was harshly judged, and was by far the best HW, and very good. But the last few fights have been dismal.

So many past guys with so many advantages over their opponent, wouldn't reluctantly take 11 rounds to stop a guy like that.

"The Tiger" wasn't even as good as ****ing Francois Botha.

Um, so after that rant.. ;) any fighter I belive that puts a bit of constant pressure on Wlad and goes to the body and doesn't go away after 2 or 3 rounds, will cause him huge amounts of trouble.

On the second thought I have to agree with Toney.

If he tries to put pressure on Wlad, the fight would be over really quickly... although probably not in the way he meant

He did beat your boy already.
Rahman may have manipulated rules to get NC when he quit in his stool but he did get beaten.

Rahman will never face Toney again because he knows he cant beat Jt.

And Wladimir would have he’s toughest fight in a long time if he would face Toney.
