benn and eubank were 2 of the best middleweights to ever come out of england.
it would have been nice to see them against loudmouth toney and also michael nunn.

 

toney would have got blastered away by benn no problem
toney fought bums and it took 10 rounds to get decision over barkley, benn took barkley apart in 1.

 

Would make alot of sense if it be true. Toney was just way to slow for both Eubanks and Benn. Eubank felt the wrath of the crowd everytime he fought, he went his whole career feedin off the hate for him and it turned him into a winner.
Toney might have been a tough cookie but Eubanks would have been too difficult opponent for him. He had the skills to which Toney would not of had an answer for.
If you havent seen much of Benn then i would say grab his fight dvd asap, not for the entertainment the way he knocked out but his ruthlessness to get in his opponants face and destroy.
I`d say 9 out of 10 uk folks back in 1990 would have him as there favorite fighter.
Toney would of just been another ordinary slow fighter to Benn, you cant counter once you been knocked out and that ws Benns speciality. Toney was no warrior style of fighter at smw.
Watch a Benn fight and then watch a James Toney fight from the early 90s` Barkley would be a good example as he fought the pair of them.

When has Toney ever really been hurt or knocked out?? You think Nigel Benn has more power then Heavyweights like Holyfield or Peter? Lets just say you think he does, his chin (Benn) is not solid enough to take what Toney is going to bring back at him. I love Benn and was a huge fan of his but I saw this man Knocked cold by a jab from Michael Watson, a JAB I have the fight if you would like to see it. An ancient Doug Dewitt had Benn down and in trouble.... I just don't see how he knocks out Toney early.. The only times in Toneys prime that I saw him down was a total flash knockdown against Reggie Johnson and the Roy Jones fight where he was taunting and Roy made him pay..

The way he talks to people and his attitude :-( there is no reason to talk about people's mothers, he refuses to show respect to other fighters, for no reason, De la Hoya, Calzaghe, Mosley Kelly Pavlik those guy's have class, and don't dis others for no reason..

 

Eubank would have made Tony look a fool in the ring.
