Toney is a lot like Hopkins. Except fat and undisciplined. He is one of the greats, I mean how often do you see a 5'9 guy go from MW to HW and be good? Sad he is like the rest of the legends.......washed up and in need of money.

True - much like Pele Reid would've been slaughtered by Vitali if they had a "rematch" any time in their pro boxing careers.

I think Big O had a reasonable case for calling out Vitali when he actually held the WBC belt, combined with their history it would've made for a good selling angle, plus the opportunity for Vitali to make an epic comeback (which he eventually did, beating Peter). After he lost to Peter and continued to call Vitali out, though, it was just a pathetic spectacle.

Hell, didn't he continue to call him out even after being kayoed by Aguilera?

Toney vs. Tarver might sell, at least among nostalgic diehards.

    200k buys on PPV, maybe?

...but did Lacy have a great chin? On like Toney and Holyfield level? I know he ate millions of punches from Calzaghe, but...that was Calzaghe.

Have you watched his interviews? Your comment is frankly a grave insult to slugs' intelligence.

So far only Haye and Fury have been able to gab their way into undeserved cracks at K2, though not for lack of trying on the part of Toney/Briggs (in chasing Wlad, he did get Vitali, though he probably now wishes he was more careful what he wished for)/Maskaev...

Between the nostalgia and train-wreck appeal, you don't think?

    That would be.

Man these old heavy weights should do something productive, fight each other instead of fighting cans.
