Is there another Prizefighter scheduled? Maybe he's looking to redeem himself for the Gavern loss.

1996, Toney was a 50+ fight pro, and Klitschko was just coming off the Olympics winning a Gold Medal...!!!

Toney really appears to be in good shape.

I do not mind seeing him fight a few nobodies in that kind of shape. I am not sure he should step up the competition though.

That fight is totally unnecessary at this point. Toney should just retire, his speech is getting worse and worse, he's washed up, and at 47 he won't be able to do anything meaningful at HW anyways...

Shame is, Toney actually appears to have trained hard and be in good shape for this fight - when he didn't bother to get in shape back when it still mattered (like in the first Rahman fight...)

The guy he's going to fight is an absolute nobody... as long as he gets himself into reasonable shape keeps fighting bums I can't see why he shouldn't it. He tries to get to 100 pro fights, fighting these low-level opponents is the only way to achive that these days IMO.

Can't argue with what you said about the Rahman fight though...

Toney has been finished since he got out boxed twice by Sam Peter a guy who literally had no boxing skills at all. He hasn't had a meaningful win in a decade almost and his competition has been awful.

He wants to finish his career with 100 pro fights. That's the deal. 12 fights to go... And earning a few bucks along the way of course.

IMO he should retire. It's too late...

Well, stylistically, Toney wouldn't pose much of a threat???

Not even remotely worth it. :verysad

Even a dozen tomato cans is an impractical, unsafe idea. He'd need to fight every couple of months to not have this endeavor take him until the age of fifty...and given his performance in Prizefighter (two years ago, with no activity since then, so he might not even have THAT much left anymore) even tomato cans are going to be able to occasionally touch him up and exacerbate his condition.

Besides, he'd still be well shy of the century mark in W's, achieved recently by Yori Boy Campas. (that would require twice as many fights, going 24-0...)

Really I don't. Tarver was never really a PPV star in his own right under his own name. Toney once upon a time, but we're what 2 decades removed from that?
