That is an acceptable weight. Now let's wait if Toney has anything left.

Subtract the man b00b weight and Toney is 212.

I'm yet to find any information on whether this will be streamed anywhere.

I'd take even a Mike Perez vs. Darnell Wilson type of deal where a member of Toney's entourage is recording it on his cell phone and broadcasting it live. :conf

Ellis came in with a 9-3-1 record - only thirteen bouts under his belt at 40 years old in a career going back eleven years.

His best result before Toney was a technical draw with Emerson freaking Chasing Bear.

    He is 6'5", though.

Once upon a time, James Toney could sacrifice a full 7" to even a quality heavyweight and rely on his skill and reflexes to emerge victorious. No longer, it would seem. :verysad

Here's to some good coming of this: I fully expect retirement news within a week.

Next time we see Toney ought to be his induction ceremony in 2021 (his first year of IBHOF eligibility)

There was a time when all of Toney's losses (Jones, Griffin x2, Thadzi, Peter x2, and Lebedev) were at least to world class fighters as of when he fought them.

Dropping a UD to Lucas Browne was a sign he should hang them up.

Losses to Gavern (although it - like Peter I and, some would argue, Griffin I & II and Thadzi - was a robbery) and now Ellis are proof that he really should've minded the sign.
