James 'Lights Out' Toney is fighting Evgeny Orlov on July 26 in Latvia. He wants to reach 100 professional fights and then retire.
He is a natural cruiserweight. He might have had a chance at winning a cruiserweight championship a few years ago if he stayed at that weight and fought his way on the ranks. He's not big enough to beat guys like Wilder nor is he young enough.
I agree with everything. Unbelievable how he has balloned after the Gavern fight (he weighed 217 pounds) There is some rumor he will fight in June against that Russian guy, Toney needs all 2 months to get himself into half decent shape again.
Which Russian guy? He is hitting the weights now in the gym, looks like he lacks cardio training again. It won't surprise me if James comes in at 275 pounds next fight...
Cruiserweight? If he stayed off the big macs and trained hard, he should be able to make LHW! Hes only 5'9!

Toney might have fought at middleweight for so many times, but he wasn't a natural middleweight. Toney was killing himself making 160lbs and he was only going to get away with doing that for so long. If anything Toney was a natural light-heavyweight.
