Just like he was going to knock Jones out

He was always a blowhard. Hopkins by decision.

Did he say he would knock Roy out? That fight was about as competitive as De La Hoya-Camacho.

Toney wins a points decision. Hopkins resume at 160 ain’t that great and do not forget that Taylor beat him twice.

I don't think any fighter within the ranges of 160-165 is stopping Bernard Hopkins.

As a JT fan, like a lot of things he says, it's just stupid to say that. It's so stupid that it doesn't deserve to be taken seriously but as JT bigging up himself because he got the swag like that. But it's not academically serious.

Toney always had a tendency to insult every fighter and claiming he would have easily beaten them. A fearless fighter no doubt but also delusional. Hopkins would have done everything he could to take away Toney's strengths. Toney would not be able to find enough counter opportunities without getting bamboozled by Hopkins' clever movement and dirty tactics.

“I’d have knocked Hopkins out, he was a simple, easy fighter to figure out,” blasted Toney. “The only reason y’all consider him a great fighter is because he held and head butted his way to titles and defences of the titles.”

At 160 I'd favor Hopkins but not overwhelmingly . When picking a Toney fantasy fight winner I can't help but always be reminded of the physical shape Toney showed up in when he lost to Roy Jones, the biggest fight of his career and he showed up a listless weakened weight drained corpse.
