I thought Suge White and others have told us he is keeping his weight down in between fights now and is serious? It appears that was false. These were comments from Sept. 30th about his possible fight with Tony Thompson.

I heard he was lying. He is notorious for lying about his weight. No matter, he will never be in fighting shape as evident from his comments that his weight doesn't matter.

With his losing record at heavyweight, obviously it DOES matter.

A joke?! Don't be ridiculous, he IS the most talented active fighter there is. The guy was a natural middleweight and now he competes regularly and with some success against natural heavyweights - he really is remarkable. A great. Not even RJJ was confident enough to regularly mix it with the big boys. For me, James Toney's performance in the 1st fight with Sam Peter is a modern miracle.

He won't win a heavyweight title now, he's on the way down IMO, but so ****, he is a fat genius!

Toney is one of the most skillful fighters I've ever seen. He's been the Bruce Lee of boxing, but he's gotten too fat. He was good up to 220, which still makes him fat, but over that weight he can't manuever properly.
He's forgotten more than any heavyweight today will ever know. Unfortunatly losing to a heathen like Sam Peter just showed how far back he's gone. The obesity, steroids, and the years of trying to be 160-175 without a reasonable diet have caught up to him. Now when he rants and slurs, he just sounds like any other delusional , ignorant low life living in a cardboard box.

James Toney is a natural fighter, he's a god damn marvel!

But he's letting himself and EVERYBODY down with that kind of weight!
He's not ever gonna come in shape these days, he won't. :smoke

I think he is kidding, he never been above 245lb, if he is 260lb now he would simply not be able to walk.

Don't judge him by his weight, he's a heavyweight! Or he's eaten a heavyweight, I forget which....
