atsch You do know that James Toney is one of the greatest counter punchers EVER. It's fighters who DON'T pressure that gives him problems, ala Roy Jonesatsch
You are a stupid ****. James Toney did STOP Holyfield (shot version maybe), and fought Samuel Peter to two VERY close decisions....WTF has David Haye done comparably at Heavyweightatsch
WHO SAYS IM COMPARING THEIR RESUMES YOU ****ING IDIOT. Christ almighty. Haye hasn't done jack **** at HW, and nowhere did i state otherwise. This isn't a prime James Toney we are talking about, nor the one who beat Holyfield, man are you thick.
No ****ing fights at Heavyweight and already he is the man Wlad has to beat. :rofl Trash talk goes a long way..but I like Haye.
Toney should fight Haye in November, and then Sam Peter in April of next year for the WBC, followed by a September fight against WBA titleholder John Ruiz.
I like him also, and would be rooting for him to clean this sorry division, but I like to keep it trutthful and not "nuthug":yep Last weeks Heavyweight Title fight was:dead
Feel free to quote where i compared resumes, or by any means stated that Haye had a more impressive resume at HW.
Assuming Toney Rahman 3 is not next.... Toney wants to fight Peter again, who is the WBC champ. Haye has (amusingly) been given the #5 rating in the WBC. I think it is a very risky fight for Toney but one he could win (or lose) in an exciting fashion, making it interesting. How much money could they pay Toney for something like this? I don't think this is a fight he would want without a signficant purse. If he wins it will help him get a high rating since he just took out (result was TKO so he should get a rating now) #8 Rahman and Haye is #5. Lets look at the WBC: champ: Peter 1)Virchis 2)Gomez 3)Ruiz 4)Dimetrenko Maybe Toney / Goosen are going to want to try and get an eliminator with one of these and then fight the winner of Peter / Vitali.
I'd be surprised too....but fat doesn't neccissarly mean out of shape. JT has Genes that make it hard for him to look cut up like Wald or Lacy. That won't ever happen. But he is in shape in terms of stamina and power. Put it this way....with how active james was in his fight with Sam both times, his punch out put was higher than the avg HW. Which means that you can't judge james toney by his belly. That has been there sine he was a MW.
Right....I meant HW's like the SUPER HW's of today...Guys like Rock and Tua or Mike Tyson...those guys are not that big compared with the likes of the Klitkos. Actually James is one of the fastest HW's out there b/c he is smaller and quicker. He was beating Peter, Roc, Ruiz and Holy to the punch in all the fights. His power is lacking although he would have KO'd Rock eventually. But had that been a guy like peter or wald landing those left hooks and right hands on Rock....Rock would have been out of there with the first flush shot. James must have landed 15 flush shots before that one right rocked Hasim.
LOL....bet agasint James if he faught Haye and you'll loose your "GRIP"! If of course you are simple enough to put up a grip should they fight. I'm just trying to help you save some money bro.:rofl
Huh? Haye those conventionally....nothing out of the norm. In order for him to be good enough to "TRICK" a craftsman like toney in to not seeing punches is to use angles, lateral movement and upper body movment. Also throwing many combination. Haye isn't that experience, nor is he that kind of fighter. Haye is a boxer with decent skills and good power. he is a 1,2,3 kind of fighter. He has a big right hand but not much else. He's a little faster than the avg HW and so is James....ths fight will come down to skill, Chin and experience. Toney wins this fight and it will be easy....if it happens with in the next year or so.
