Basically, I think that retirement seems like the only option left for Toney at this point. Him being out of shape yet again, shut the door on any future payday against the likes of Arreola or Tarver. Iinitially,I was hoping that the Reed fight would launch a series of lower key match ups in which Toney would have shred pounds as well as ring rust off. I doubt that Thursday's performance marked a starting point for the final chapter of Toney's career. Instead, I suspect that Toney will again give an endless number of pointless inteviews in order to talk himself back in contention. My final words would be: Toney shut up+train+fight or RETIRE.

It's quite sad to see this bloated and deluded version of Toney reduced to fighting in MMA and the Damon Reed's of this World. He is a fantastic fighter but there is only so long that he can carry on before he comes a cropper and nobody wants to see him hurt.

Surely he got a million (if not MORE) for winning the IBA 'title' against Oquendo?

I'd like Toney to retire with 90 fights, a record of 80-7-3, After fighting 7 crappy tomato cans, I'd like him to have one last fight with a credible fighter.
