Mercer beat Sylvia because he is a brain dead redneck, and walked right across the ring straight into a right hand without thinking from a professional HW boxer know for punching power (the last thing to go).

Acctually Mercers Kickboxing attempt in K-1 was a complete disaster. He was know for having an industructable chin and was getting Ko'd by everyone. He should of tried 10 years ago maybe. So, it is surprising that he took out Sylvia. Kimbo took Mercer out in 1 minute.

You can see the look on Mercer's face going "What the ****?" Then he proceeded to knock Slyvia the **** out. I will agree with that he was a dumb redneck though.

 

Toney knocked out a nobody in his last fight and didn't look good, prior to that he won a SD against Oquendo, prior to that he looked okay versus Rahman but Rahman has looked terrible, prior to that he won another SD against a poor opponent, prior to that he lost twice to Peter, one of which he was outboxed in, prior to that he was lucky to get a draw.

By the time Toney fights, it may be 5 years since he has really looked any good and even then he's looking good against a TERRIBLE crop of heavyweights like Guinn and Ruiz. By good, I still think he looks fat and flated footed.
