Generally speaking, it's just because everytime Toney disses a legend from the past or an active fighter, people comes up with "he's talking thrash about XXX? What about his losses to RJJ, Griffin, Peter...ecc...". It's almost like 99% of boxing fans can't just ignore his nonsense bubbles.

    They should make this happen.
High profile for Haye, Big Match for Toney.

A win for either guy will cause some waves.

This would be an excellent fight for Haye to take.
Whoever thinks Toney has any chance is seriously deluded.

If James Toney continues this clean living and good training, and gets down to a ripped and solid 215, he will be very dangerous. One thing that i saw in the Hasim Rahman fight was James Toney's mobility and upper body movement had greatly improved.

I believe James Toney should focus on fighting Sam Petter again...

Yeah, it would totally be the matrix out there. Haye's so fast, you blokes just don't even know. I fancy he's the fastest boxer out there P4P right now. And, his power is the best. I hope they make this fight with Toney, so Haye can shut that fat Yank up and his rubbish fans.

Haye needs to fight a heavyweight - not a bloated Cruiserweight. It doens't make sense to drop his crown at Cruiser to fight another cruiserweight at heavyweight - unless that name is Evander Holyfield. That name carries a bit more recognition and notoriety that would serve Haye's resume well.

I'm bored of watching that obese loud mouth getting into the ring. It doesn't look good for the sport. Haye can fight Rahman & on the undercard we can have the big pie eating showdown between Toney & McDermott.

    Why not..?

    He is a athlete..?

He is not ill, anybody can loose weight if they are fit and healthy.

James Toney can get down to a solid 215, i have no doubts about that.

Logicaly I would say that haye should win but you never know with Toney. But he is 40 and is slipping and overweight but he is crafty. we will see if haye can box because I doubt if he will knock him out.

It would require discipline that he doesn't have. Plus, given that he's clinically obese, I'm not sure he could look solid even if he wanted to.
