You cant have James Toney as the greatest 168 ..... he wasnt in the division long enough to stake that claim ..... neither can you do so for Roy Jones.

The greatest super middleweight ever is Joe Calzaghe.

Looking at Toney's resume at 168lbs makes me wonder why Calzaghe got so much **** for his level of opposition at super middle. Calzaghe may have fought some weak opposition like Pudwill and Salem but they are on another level when compared to the likes of Chavers, Thomas, Prather and Durham.

Fact is Toney's resume is weak at 168lbs.

    It means nothing...
Toney calls everyone out even Klitschkos and that doesn't make him best HW ever...or does it?

Roy Jones was the best super middleweight ever. In his prime, no one could have beaten him at 168.

I dont buy the "weight drained" argument.

Him being indisciplined and not committed to conditioning doesnt make him weight drained.

Hes 5'9, in this mid 20s, he should be easily able to make 168,considering he had been the 160 champ only a coupkle of years previously.

Roy Jones destroyed him, fair and square.

Leonard was a complete hypejob at that stage of his career and was never a SMW anyway despite weighing in 168 lbs 4 1 fight .
Actually , I wouldn't even put him in my top 20 middleweights .
Calzaghe fought no1 and actually drew with Robin Reid and gave no rematch .
RJJ fought d corpses of d men that Toney fought (Mike McCallum , Merqui Sosa , Reggie Johnson & Tony Thornton) and fought Toney himself only when he was sure that Toney can't make 168 anymore .
Then u have Lebedev who showed d difference between Jones & Toney :yep

    UMMM, what?

Not that it makes a difference at this point in their careers but Jones fought a competitive fight up until the time he was knocked out against Lebedev.

Whereas Lebedev used Toney as target practice for the whole fight.

The Jones fight was WAY more competitive.

Toney could of made more of an effort to get in shape. How on earth did he allow himself to walk into camp at 214 lbs????:-:)-(
