Ok So I dont know too much about MMA and the levels of different fighters. But I keep hearing James Toney is out of his depth and will get a hammering from Randy Couture when they meet in the cage this Saturday / Sunday. Some say Toney simple does not have the cage fighting skills to compete with Couture and will get choked out in the 1st round when Couture takes him to the floor. But Couture is World Class Cage fight right. So how hopeless is Toney in a cage against any average / decent cage fighter. How would he fare against a average / jouneyman cage fighter like Alex Reid ? (Katie Price / Jordans boyfriend ) :think
To put it into perspective, Reid has lost his last 6 fights. Predominantly I would say he is a striker so that doesn't fair too well. He is all action but is an average fighter on the domestic scene let alone world scene. Reid last won a MMA fight over 5 years ago.
I am aware of this. So how would James Toney fare in a cage against a cage fighter of Alex Reids level ? Considering Toney has had no MMA fights and is expected to get easily beaten by a World Class MMA fighter on Saturday.

I saw some of Alex Reid fighting, and his handspeed is shocking and he seems to lack power. I think Toney would decimate him
There are fighters the calibre of Reid who could beat Toney; the issue is one of style. If the fighter is a hard nosed grappler with limited standup he takes the fight quite easily, if it is an MMA fighter who likes to "stand and bang" he is probably going to lose.
So do you think Reid could take Toney ? Of course if a journeyman like Reid could beat James - he hasnt got a hope in hell against a world class performer such as Randy Coutre.
Then that would have to translate to James absolutely NOT having a snowballs chance in hell to defeat someone of Randy's credentials. People action KNOW Randy and for good reason......People DON'T know Ried also for very good reasons.
