James Toney was the former IBF Cruserweight Champion. Enzo Maccarenelli was the former WBU & WBO Cruserweight Champion. What would have happened if Enzo in his desire to prove himself the best had not chased Johnny Nelson but instead targeted James Lights Out Toney and got the fight. What would have happened - Enzo claimed to be the best crusierweight in the world (before Haye destroyed him) Toney would have been the ultimate test. Predictions?

Toney beats him like a drum all night. Wide-UD, considering Toney actually comes to the fight some-what in shape.

Toney was moving to heavyweight by the time Maccarinelli challenged for the vacant WBU title.

easy: Toney beats Maccarinelli by TKO or even KO middle rds.

Just compare these fighters skills - Toney owns Maccarinelli in every aspect here. Toney would bust him up for some rounds and then just finish him.
And no, Maccarinellis power won't bail him out in this one - firstly he'd hardly land a good punch on Toney, and even if he would: we all know that Toney can take the hardest punches without blinking.

I doubt Toney could get down to 200 for that fight now.

disagree - facts are if im not badly mistaken Enzo wan the WBU title knocking out Bruce Scott in 2002. Toney wan IBF title beating Vasli Jirov in 2003. Toney didnt move up to heavyweight until he knocked out Holyfield in October 2003

    Yes, you are mistaken.

Maccarinelli v Scott was late June 2003. As you say that was a couple of months after Toney's last fight at the weight.

I'd have to see current James @ that weight again to belive it first...
(Tho I know he can do it, will he be motivated enough)

The Challenge will prob be Can Toney Vs. his weight get down to Cruiser & Fight Enzo Maccanerelli...lol

All jokes aside tho, James has the skills to make a Mac very frustrated.
But James is getting up their in age aswell, maybe Mac can pull it off.
