it really says a lot when people have to mention amateur victories to make a resume look better :D

It is worth nothing featherfist slapper Calzaghe knocked out Chris Byrd though, the man that made Vitali cry and took regular heavyweights bombs :yep

    No.

But I know a doctor who can surgically attach you to Joe Calslappy's ass if you want.

Didn't have one. Unlike that Thai hooker you picked up last time you were out there.

Yes, but it also means that Calzaghe can't really be a slapper if he knocked out a guy that went on to take heavyweight shots WITHOUT a headguard.

It tells us what any logical fans know, Calzaghe has adapted his technique in the face of injury

    I have no doubts.

What cracked me up was the concept of an 'assumed' resume, or rather, the reactions to using that concept, especially when you 'assumed' a broken hand for Floyd in his Cotto fight.

The Valuev humor was the result of the mental imagery your post created in my head...

That image caused me to roll on the floor. I had images (from a children's cartoon) of the giant in "Jack in the bean-stalk" trying to swat a more nimble Jack around the room.

But seriously, I believe, for much the same reasons, that present Joe (175-180) would prevail over present Toney (230-240) over 12 rounds.

You might as well explain it, with graphs and diagrams, to your pet dog.

They'll still be spouting off about 'Caslappy.'

Why don't we make it a double ceremony, me and Xavier, you and Joe Calzaghe's rusty bullet-hole?

you seem to want to be judge and jury at the same time

    i will use your list

    1. jirov -jeff lacy about the same

2.holyfield -bernard hopkins-2 old vets one competitive and one not, one a fight for number 1 slot

3.mcCallum-kessler -2 good technical fighters , kessler beats a 168 version of mcallum

4.mcCallum II -eubank one about 40 and and the other 31

5.nunn -reid -toneys best win and a better fighter than reid

6.barkley- brewer, career wise very similar and match up physically as well, IMO calzaghe would have had an easier fight v barkely though

    7.williams-mitchell-

    8.littles -woodhall-2 world champs

    9.deWitt -sheika-similar styles and careers

10.johnson -starie-unbeaten starie and number 1 contender johnson

    11.sosa -bika-2 strong men

12.guinn -you could put any calzaghe victim in here guinn is a trialhorse club fighter like manfredo

to me this is not conclusive that toney`s resume is superior.

These resume threads with Calzaghe are predictable. Slappy Joe always loses :rofl

How about a comparison of someone he has a chance at beating in his resume?

    Vitali Klitschko.

P4P is H2H ratings in relation to the fighters height, if you can explain why legacy is factored into this I'd be impressed.

The fact is if you built a Titanium Robot version of Joe Calzaghe that was capable of destroying any fighter, you would have to rank this robot P4P number one, before it has even stepped into the ring, as P4P is purely based upon how effective a fighter is. Joe Calzaghe is the most effective of all and is the all time P4P number one. This is so despite him only having a moderately brilliant resume, opposed to an eminently brilliant resume.

    Joe Calzaghe is undefeated
James Toney is 0-2 against an over hyped club fighter
