I would love to see the simpleton Toney knocked out for the first time in his career, but Haye has much bigger things on the agenda. Let Toney try working himself back to relevance and he may get a shot against a champion - whoever that may be - in a couple of years' time. Unlikely that he'd be able to be disciplined enough to not lose during that period, but....

bigger things on his agenda, like fighting ruiz, holyfield and adamek? Please stop the excuses à la mayweather, the fans want to see toney-haye, so the fight should be made.

Ruiz is a mandatory and therefore obvious. Holyfield will never happen and Adamek is unlikely. As King and Sauerland have options on Haye, I think they'd rather take a share of the Haye - Klitschko cash windfall. Besides, Adamek is a more relevant fight than Toney at this stage, albeit only marginally.

I just can't believe anyone wants to see Toney get KOed that badly. As much as I'd like to see it, it wouldn't be at the expense of higher quality fights.

    Less yak, more smack.

Toney needs to hurry up and beat someone relevant.

he didn't really destroy him did he? haye wasn't there to give it back- anyone can shoot there mouth off. im sure haye has plenty of things to say about him as well. i honestly can't see him living with haye for more that 6 rounds. Fair play, he's had a stellar career, but haye really has bigger fish to fry. question- is toney at mandatory for any of the belts? that's not rhetorical and I'm not being a **** about it, i just don't know. if he isnt he needs to work on getting into a position to fight haye, 'cos I don't think Haye will give him his payday otherwise

It would and while Toney has next to zero percent chance against the brothers, he actually has a chance against Haye. This is Toney's last and only chance of gaining a HW belt.

And the press conference would be legendary...

    This is a case where 1 + 1 equals 5.

Toney is speaking a lot of truth there. He's a legend and has earned his right to talk ****, regardless if he can still back it up or not.
Haye hasn't achieved half of what Toney has achieved in his career yet. Haye has a loooong way to go before he can talk smack like he does.

Haye will fight Ruiz and then Holyfield or Chagaev, but that's no surprise really. Everybody who thought he would try and unify the titles must be very naive.
Toney-Haye won't happen, but if it did I'm sure it would generate a lot of interest and I dare say EVERYBODY here would tune in on that fight. Toney may be too faded to win at this point, but he wouldn't get stopped as David Haye wouldn't take the risk to enter Toneys danger zone to try to KO him.

BTW, the 2003 Toney would have a field day with David Haye, regardless if the fight happened at CW or at HW.

Toney needs a payday and will do anything to get it.It's just sad Toney finished all his money buying McDonalds burgers otherwise he wouldnt be fighting right now.

Haye would knock this guy out.

You don't know **** about Toney. James has never ever set a foot into McDonalds, no, it's Burger King all the way, like it should be for every real man.

BTW if Toney really is shot to pieces, maybe, just maybe, Haye could knock him out. But he wouldn't, because he wouldn't dare to enter Toneys danger zone to try to get the KO - he'd play it safe, run and pot-shot old Toney to a boring decision.
