Hearns builds a lead with his jab and activity. Over 12 rounds Tommy hangs on to win a decision. Any longer Toney would get him.

I sense that at middleweight or above, Toney would stop him, probably late, and possibly even while behind on points.

At Middleweight Hearns would smoke James and get really high. James struggled with Dave Tiberi at Middleweight for cryin' out loud. It's not the opponents that James had the most trouble with doe. James was already weak stepping in for those early defenses. He was so weak because of the strenuous fighting that he had to do with the scales before any bell rang.

At Middleweight, Hearns knocks James TFO.

I saw the other night James getting knocked down (not the Roy fight). Was it Reggie Johnson who knocked him down?

At Middleweight James survived. I believe that at Cruiserweight he would have thrived.

But the money fights weren't in the Cruiserweight division.

He wouldn't need to. He would catch the jab and then counter the right hand.
