At Light Heavyweight... How do you guys see this playing out? My guess in Toney nicks it... But Tarvers height and reach advantage could cause him some major problems.
To get a bit of insight as to what could happen check out Jirov vs. Toney. But Tarver would probably get taken out earlier because he doesnt have the workrate that Jirov had nor the chin. Toney wouldn't be so occupied blocking punches, he could actually focus on setting up valuable punches. I say TOney makes it look easy and takes him out by the 11th round.
Ive never watched any videos of Tarver, i just dont think hes that good from what ive read and heard, he has the fluke win over RJJ and thats about it. ....then again so does Glen Johnson
"I never watched the guy fight but I can judge his career and his chances against other fighters." Clown. Tarver doesn´t fight anything like Jirov, this fight is a bad indication of how a Tarver-Toney fight would go down.
Hey A-Hole, Stop putting words in my mouth, i said i aint watched anything of him and am not impressed by what ive read or heard
Chill dudes, we're all friends here... Leave that **** to those animals in the general! What?... I know I post there too... wanna ****ing fight about it??
I should've stated it, but I was only referring to how easilly toney was making a southpaw miss. He doesn't fight like him at all though. he doesn't throw his hands nearly as much as jirov.
Tarver would win this by jabbing and moving backwards/circling. Tarver wouldn't give the counter opportunities that Toney would want, so Toney would need to be aggressive but I don't think he would be.
Tarver would get his ass kicked. He would box well for one round and then Toney would outwork him. Tarver would submit to a close encounter fight because he was a lazy ass and he would get schooled in close. Tarver is overated. The only fight he could get himself up for was Jones Jr.
