Tarver dec. Tarver could probably put together a game plan involving lateral movement and Toney was a slob at 175.

I think Toney win sa decision. At 175 Toney really was not different than in other weight classes. He deserved the nod in both Griffin fights. Toney has always done well against southpaws and Tarver is not really a mover

I like Toney by UD but wouldn't begrudge anyone that went with Tarver. Tarver was a smart fighter he would circle left against Toney and try to stay away from that counter right hand. As Blade said, Toney was very good against southpaws.

It could be that the only meaningful opponent fought at 175 was Griffin twice, and he lost both of those. He also lost to Thadzi (who?) also after failing to make 175.

Tarver beat Griffin fairly easily and was the best light heavy of the 2000s decade.

If Toney gets inside Tarver has no chance

Tarver was one of the best amateur fighters ever...then goes to the olympics and comes home with a bronze

    Inconsistent...are you talking about Toney?

The Ring named Tarver the best of the decade.

Jones was pretty obviously the best h2h. Dawson had the second best resume and was around Tarver’s level h2h, maybe slightly better even although he wouldn’t have beaten Roy like Tarver did.
