B-hop could never be 200 - he's too disciplined and has never ballooned up like all the others. But that would be a serious chess match of masters. I would have loved to see Toney fight these past years without looking like a Buddha.
Yeah right...Toney wouldnt KO Hopkins at any weight...wouldn't land enough punches....would be a boring technical fight that Hopkins would win on points...would have been a great fight if they fought 15+ years ago at 168.
great tactical fight to watch in the boxing side, i say the winner would be the one who through the most punches.they would fight in the pockect all night, they should have been fought at there 160 days.bhop will fight around 200 if the money is right.bhop has looked better then toney as of late, but a leaner toney would cause him problems, win for toney would be very possible.
The Toney that fought Jirov at cruiser and then Holy as a fairly trim heavy was a beast. I don't think Toney has it anymore he has been in the rin many times and took alot of punches over the years.
Toney got outboxed by Fres Oquendo in his last fight. What do you think would happen? Not that Toney could ever get back down to 200.
Don't know, I would love to see the clash of styles + all the trash talking leading up to fight night, can you just imagine ?
you come towards toney you lose. hopkins i think has too much technical skill, ring craft and even agility to outpoint toney. toney looking ponderous and missing with his counters. but i could also see the pre 2000 hopkins using his boxer/bully style could be the exact thing toney wants. high solid state guard and his tendency to throw lead right hands
