    I'd favor Hopkins. He fights the best fight he can, usually, and Toney often doesn't. The pace will be tepid. Hopkins has better feet and is the better ring general.

    peak Hopkins vs peak Toney, who you got ?

    I think Hopkins would try to smother Toney like crazy in order to avoid punishment, but he would lose many rounds in the process because of negativity

    I like Toney by way of a close decision, maybe SD, in an ugly frustrating fight

    this one was talked about in 2003. i'll take bhop because he was more consistent but this could have been an interesting fight.

    this is actually a shame that this fight never came off...Quite a few Middles during this time frame never squared off with another, in what could have been a golden age era....This to me would be a huge boost for either Hops or Toney in terms of their legacies and p4p rankings.
