James Toney would win this by decision. This would have been a hell of a fight to watch but I think Toney had too much skill for Calzaghe. Joe would have gotten caught with come great counter-punches throughout the fight.

This may be, but I do not see how does it relate to Calzaghe, especially the part about "great chin". JT wins easily, although I would give Calzaghe serious underdog chance... for example, if Toney gets too fat and has to lose 20 pounds in 2 days or something like this.

if it's the same toney that showed up for the roy jones fight, calzaghe would've carved him up just like roy did

are you kidding me? Toney is an out of shape bum, even at 168. He would get tired and Calzaghe would slap him into oblivion.

Toney would have ruined this overrated chump. Slappy never faced an opponent near the caliber of Toney. Toney would have sat down on his punches and ruined him.

Whilst Calzaghe was winning fights he looked bad in, Toney was losing to Drake Thadzi and Montell Griffin.

Calzaghe never showed movement? He only started to dominate Kessler when he showed movement and backed off, doesn't have lateral movement? Lmao

Calzaghe can fight you anywhere, inside (Lacy) and outside (Kessler). He'd realise he could out point Toney and stay outside.

    Calzaghe outside

Toney was a great fighter but more one dimensional than Calzaghe (yes he is!) Calzaghe is underrated as **** and there's a reason he was undefeated.

The reason Calzaghe is undefeated has less to do with talent and more to do with management selecting multiple English bums to pad his record and wating until Jones and Hopkins slowed down past their primes. Slick match manipulation, noting more. Calzaghe is certainly no ATG. Only a very well managed fighter residing in a country that hypes such stiffs.

He is right about "proper menagement", no matter if he hates Calzaghe or not. I doubt Calzaghe would be undefeated if he fought the same opposition as Toney.
