I agree that the best action would happen outside the ring! Back in 1993 when Eubank and Benn were due to rematch (and they still genuinely hated each other at that point), they were both invited onto a British chat show and for some reason the show decided to stream an interview with James Toney into the studio (it's probably on YouTube somewhere). I think they ended up cutting the interview short as Lights Out let out a stream of vitriol and invective towards both Eubank and Benn and offered to beat them both live on air. It was great. Too bad it never materialised!
Us Brits are so smug and sarcastic it's actually painful, mad respect for Toney for that interview, forgot how hilarious it was. When Chris called him ignorant, I just rolled my eyes. Surprised he didn't go into a social correctness lecture. Toney didn't give a damn
I laughed out loud at that line from Toney when I was travelling in on the train to work this morning!
Benn was cool with the banter from Toney at first but then you could see him switch into fighter mode when Toney started dissing him. Eubank was trying his pseudo-intellectual thing that basically involves him pausing for about 5 minutes before opening his mouth and then saying something asinine.
