No chance of an eliminator surely, neither guy is even in their top 40 (and Toney is probably unranked entirely).

everytime someone mentions toney, they try being funny, saying he's fat n all that. one thing they forget is that he is probably the best skilled fighter in the world next to guys like mayweather, even at heavyweight.
your right when you say everyone loves to watch toney fight, its cos he comes to fight, doesnt run like a girl. this guy is a living legend.

if this fight comes of then i think toney would hand williams a massive boxing lesson and then stop him. however williAMS can give any heavyweight a good fight if he's in shape.

Exactly what I was going to ask. They've had so many eliminators, I am not even sure what they're eliminating anymore.

If they want to fight then so be it. But an eliminator is a farce. Danny has done nothing to earn it. His last win was over Scott Gammer and Toney has been out for a year because of his ban. Theres no way on earth this can get sanctioned as an eliminator.

Well Danny did weigh in the region of low 220`s when he fought Gammer to manys surprise. But then in his next fight he reverted back to form and came in at 270 plus lbs. The fight only has relavance for Danny. I dont see what Toney gets out of this.

I still reckon that was bull****, I've never been happy with it...something must've either been screwy with the scales or misreported, no way Danny would spontaneously (after so many years) drop so much weight and then suddenly put it all back on again.

Sounds like a tabloid stretching the truth. Williams - Toney has probably been made, but it is definately NOT an eliminator.

Well scales dont magically lie and he would have had to have hius weight checked by the board of control so im pretty sure it was legit. Danny was noticeably slimmer for that bout anyway and didnt look half as big as when he fought Skelton. In between fights Danny does blow up and it does seem likely in my opinion that he easily could have put on the weight. His been very open with his struggles when it comes to maintaining his weight and his diet.

I just don't buy it. He's only weighed lighter than that once in his entire career, in his debut way back in 1995.

If Danny had somehow managed to find a miracle diet that knocked off 39 pounds in 3 months, and knowing that his weight issues had been the bane of his career, why would he then forget all about it and clock in at 270 for his next fight?

Either Danny has a serious psychological (borderline schizophrenic) disorder and needs sectioning, or someone screwed up somewhere.
