James Toney vs. Dempsey and Marciano

Marciano outworks Toney to a UD, possibly late stoppage. Most likely a late stoppage over 15 anyway.

 

Both guys would be favorites over Toney but neither knock him out. Actually, a Toney upset wouldn't be a big surprise but I wouldn't bet on it.
Toney and Moore is a fair comparison and I don't think Toney was quite as crafty as Moore but its not that big of a gap. Toney was more durable and younger and makes a good fight of it but gets outworked by Marciano. Dempsey is a bit harder to gauge because Toney would be unique to him. But I imagine Dempsey would be quick and aggressive enough to win a decision as well. But Dempsey did better with bigger slower guys so Toney would be a live dog here also. Good fights actually but Toney loses both by decision.
