    15 rounds at cruiserweight...What do you think? Qawi's pressure against Toney's counterpunching...:think

Wow good matchup! Damn this is hard to predict. The fans would be the winners that's for sure. Okay, we'll say it's the Qawi who brought a young Holyfield to the gates of hades before losing a split fifteen-round decision against the excellent Toney who beat Jirov in a great 2003 fight. I am going with Dwight here. Not because he lives locally and is a nice guy and a dedicated substance abuse counselor for at risk youths. I pick him because Dwight was a much better fighter than Jirov and his pressure would have been harder for Toney to deal with. It would be special but Dwight would win.

    Qawi UD Toney

At Cruiser, I'd go with Qawi by decision. If at 175, a non drained Toney should counter him up for a UD.

The only one getting countered would be Toney IMO. Qawi was much more dangerous at light heavy than cruiser.

Cruiser or light heavyweight Qawi takes this one by a close but clear cut decision. He'll be a little too active for Toney who'll have his moments, but will often find himself being overwhelmed. Potentially one of the greatest fights of all time here though. Lots of skill and punishment guaranteed in this one.

James Toney by UD. The style that Qawi has is taylor made for a brilliant counter puncher and inside fighting specialist like James Toney. I see Qawi being the agressor and Toney picking his spots to work from the outside, landing sharp counter right hands as Qawi gets overly agressive. I even give Toney the edge in close quarters. Toney has great inside game. He would use his far quicker hands to out work Qawi at points then go back to work from the outside.

In a good action packed fight, i see Toney winning a tight UD by scores similar to 115-113.

He was not a counter puncher by no means. Qawi reminds me of Joe Frazier or Henry Armstrong. A pressure fighter that wears his opponents down then knocks him out. Skillful fighters like Toney, Jones, Hopkins, Michael Spinks, Holyfield ect, would be hell for him.
