Neither fighter at that stage were as good as the Muhammed who beat Johnson or gave Spinks a very tough fight for the the first half of their encounter.

Toney dropped quite a few rounds before stopping a past it Williams.

You have to surely base it on their performances at the weight...Toney's were just poor relative to what he showed at other weights and not just the odd fight, most of his performances there were. Muhammed in his prime at light heavy only really lost to Spinks...He was new to the weight and still learning when he faced Galindez..and he lost to Snipes as an out of shape and unfocused heavyweight.

I think its a very good tactical fight...I dont think he wins it by a lot but I would defintely go with Mr Gregory.

Should Barkley & Charles Williams be even mentioned in the same breath as Galindez, Scott or most certianly Spinks?! Speaking of dicked, Like Dave Tiberi was in his "loss"? to Toney?
Yes I know Toney is a very good fighter, But So is Mustafa. Perhaps a little better than you are giving him credit for...

Two of the most inconsistent mother****ers in history. If both are at thier bests, I'll take Eddie by decision. Eddie was quicker, and better from long range, and he wouldnt come at Toney. And of course, Eddie was a much bigger puncher.

Theres NO shame in losing to Mike Spinks, and I thought he beat Galindez.

Eddie on point takes a wide UD on this, but if non-point, Toney wins a UD.

My money would probably be on Toney, but I'd want to know how his training had gone and if he had made weight properly. Toney at his sharp best was fast, powerful, and skillful. THAT Toney I'd take over EMM. Marvin Johnson was a very hittable southpaw, nowhere near the defense of Toney. I can't ever get out of my mind EMM getting pummeled by James Scott, a guy who was strong, but nowhere near the level of Toney. I guess both guys had their bad nights - as Toney did with Thadzi and others, as noted. Actually, this could be one of those fights where you'd really need to know something about the preparation of both before wagering on either. Both at their best could be a close decision, so I'd probably bet the over rather than the winner if I thought they were both in shape.
