Tiozzo (48-2) was an excellent fighter. Notably, he beat up Dariusz Michalchewski, an aging Mc Callum (to win the WBC lightheavyweight strap), Silvio Branco and Eric Lucas at 175. He lost a close one against Virgil Hill. He went on to capture the 190 pound WBA against Nate Miller which he lost to Hill again.

Styles make fights. And I think stylistically this suits Toney quite well. Still not easy an fight. for him. I am going to say Toney by hard fought 12 rounds decision. Whattare your views on this intriguing matchup?

Tiozzo was one of my favorite fighters... 190 is a decent weight for Toney... both at their best and with Tiozzo being more comfortable at this means he could eke out a close points win.. of course I am very biased for the Frenchman
