Well, stand-up includes knees, kicks, elbows, etc, so you'd be correct, but I think the guy you were quoting meant a boxing match, in which case Fedor would get owned.

You mean the same **** Couture said he would use against Toney before he was scared for his life and went right for the wrestle?

Toney's not a big puncher, even as a welterweight, and he really likes to hang on the ropes, roll with the punches and counter punch. He´s
pretty amazing at it, but against an MMA fighter that's just an awfull style. Fedor's striking looks a little wild, but he very rarely get's hit and he never throws anything that will leave him open to takedowns. Toney doesn't know how to do takedowns, and he's fat and slow. In a striking match with knees, elbows, legs allowed Fedor would have an easy time. In a boxing match Toney wouldn't have much trouble. Both of them are great at their trade. Toney was a wicked middleewight, but shitty as a heavyweight.

Fedors the perfect opponent for Toney. EVERY other MMA fighter would immediately go for the takedown, the pussies that they are. Fedor, without fail, fights to his opponents strength. Fedor would **** Toney at his own game!

I respect Fedor, but no way he beats Toney at boxing.

  8. Fedor trains with great boxers and kickboxers. Current Toney would be able to hang with Fedor standing up and especially on the ground.

If Fedor fought Toney in a straight up boxing match, Toney would land more clean punches than in Fedor's entire MMA career.

Stand up no going to the ground it might be interesting for a bit, as long as Fedor doesn't kick from the get go.

I've seen film of fedor boxing sparring fighter who are much less then toney is today. Fedor would lose a pure boxing match and would be a bit in danger in standup...
