I agree he beat him the first time but come on the 2nd fight was a lot closer.

Toney is a much more sophisticated inside fighter than Canelo. Can't see GGG winning much vs him.

You're talking about 2 completely fights, at 2 different weights.

GG could never have implemented Roy's strategy.

Roy had incredible athleticism and a unique unorthadox style with incredible reflexes.

GG has never seen anyone like Toney at MW. The 2 best guys he's fought are Jacobs and Canelo. We saw how hard those fights were for him regardless of who you thought won.

Fighting a peak version of James Toney would have been incredibly difficult for him.

 

If Canelo made GGG miss nearly 70% of his punches, imagine how Toney would toy with the Triple Gee!

There's a reason why Triple gee doesn't fight top slick fighters.
