whilst this MIGHT be true and it might not (since noone can tell you why canelo vacated so you are being completely hypothetical), what IS true is that Canelo at the age of 26, has several elites on his resume, and 3G has none as he edges towards 35 and the end of his prime career.

Its very hard to believe that this Canelo with an extensively better resume including several elites, is ducking out of some kind of fear for someone so far proved only world class.

GGG schooled Canelo in sparring and chased him out of 160.

If Canelo doesn't fight him soon, that is what people will remember him for.

Meanwhile, I hope Chavez Jr is training his ass off and is going to give El Pollo a hiding. I will rotfl if that happens.

Stop boxrecing. Murray was not better than Regie Johnson. Murray turtles up and loses fights. Thats in MO. He's useless. He doesn't even attempt to win.
Johnson fought in a stronger era and would shut Murray out 10-2. He was visibly a better boxer in every way.

Little g and K2 messed up when they refused the CW GBP offered with Canelo.
Soon Golovkin will be 40 years old and still lacking even one elite opponent on his resume. By then he'll do a Calzaghe and call out a 60 year old Bernard Hopkins.

two statements that dont marry together at all, "sparred with" and "chased him out".
Sparring doesnt involve chasing out, period.

its true that the fight should happen, but you cant make spurious claims as you've just tried to based on what hasnt yet happened. Because you dont know what will happen.

to be fair you are just playnig the anti_BCS game of "might/might not, I believe" etc. He might and he might not, we will see. The proof is in the pudding, not in "mights and might not".

That said, with each passing day, the evidence lies increasingly on your side, and increasingly the BCS brigade looks more embarrassed, THUS FAR. Its true that 3G has left it very late in the day to step up to elite though assuming thats what he wants to do.

    Golovkin

Im not a fan of GGG yet and I dont think the MW division is as deep as it was a few years ago when Hopkins was champ but GGG has been dominant in victory against everyone he has faced at MW.
Toney as a MW drew with S Williams, SD against Sosa, come from behind late win against Nunn who was ahead, SD against Johnson, draw with McCallum, SD against Tiberi, Mdec against McCallum. Whether you feel Toney won all of those close fights or not they were close debateable fights with differing opinions.
I think Toney has some greater wins at MW with Johnson, but dont think GGG would have lost to Nunn.

With that I slightly favour GGG at MW.
If it were CW then I would say Toney but at MW and based off those results it would be GGG but I think GGG could have his hands full with Jacobs and wouldnt rule out Jacobs winning when they face each other next

He really should have fought Canelo at the 156 CW or at least called their bluff.
Had Golovkin accepted the CW and won, we wouldn't be having this conversation now, Golovkin would be the acknowledged A side, and he'd at least have an A side win on his resume if not any elites.
They messed it up for themselves, for boxing fans, and for K2.

    No, he really didn't.

Canelo messed it up for boxing fans when he ran like a byotch instead of defending his title like a man with something in his nutsack. When the wind blows through Canelo's thighs, all you hear is a flapping noise.

Canelo didn't run. GBP made an offer to K2 and K2 refused it.
More recently, GBP made a second offer for paying Golovkin a handsome lump sum fee, and being over-priced divas, K2 refused that too.

We all know that Canelo has A side opponents on his resume while Golovkin has none. So, the chance of Canelo ducking b-side Golovkin doesn't stand the test of Canelo's past opponents, all more proven than Golovkin.
Canelo has fought "somebodies" while Golovkin has fought a string of nobodies.
Based on the evidence, the odds are that it is Golovkin.K2 ducking moreso than Canelo/GBP.

Golovkin is a three belt champion and Canelo is a tramp looking for a payday.

    End of.

All prize fighters are guity of "looking for a payday". That's the rule of the game.
Isn't that the reason K2/Golovkin refused GBP's lump sum offer, because they thought they deserved more than $10-15 M lump payment?

Canelo beat A-side Cotto to win the MW strap. Canelo won it because like a champion does, he accepted Cotto's terms.

What A-side opponent did Golovkin beat to win his?

    Haha man.

Some of y'all overrate Triple G so damn much. Toney got an iron chin all the way up to HW, has elite defense and counter punching skills. When he was in his mid-late 30's fighting 40lbs over his natural weight, he was still boxing the sh1t out of dudes. Plus Toney was 'Lights Out' at 160. Toney by TKO.
