Power: McClellan Offense: McClellan Defense: Toney Intangibles: Equal Handspeed: Toney Footspeed: McClellan Skillset: Toney Blueprint fight: McCallum vs Jackson Who do you have winning? Off topic: Toney claims to have footage of his sparring sessions with McClellan back at the Kronk Gym. I hope he releases them some day
Toney quite convincingly by ud.McClellan is one of the most overrated fighters on these boards and Toney had a granite chin.
I can see Toney also winning by ud, although I think he might have a few unsteady moments. McClellan wouldn't have much success landing the right cross and every time he threw it he would get countered. As for McClellan being overrated, yeah I have to admit that he is, to an extent
Toney probably would take it to a decision but , this is the one man who may have got to toney with his power
Toney has the chin and the skills to make it into round 6 (McClellan's breakpoint), from that point on it's an easy night for James. Toney UD
Yeah, ok. Toney point blank has one of the best chins in history. Theres no middleweight in history who's stopping him.... much LESS one like G-Man who blew his load early. G-man NEVER stopped anybody who had a proven chin. His power was legit, dont get me wrong.... but you overrate him.
Its true Im a big fan , but Im a big fan of Toney to , I do feel though that Gerald was probably THE guy who had the power to hurt Toney
A great fantasy match up. Its very easy to say Toney because he has been in the public boxing eye a long time, but after 2 early career losses McClellan looked destructive and strong and was ahead against Benn until the end. Its a tough one to call, especially when you consider fighters like Sosa, Johnson, Tiberi were fighting Toney to a SDs when Toney was an established world class fighter. I really cant decide a winner here but if forced, would take McClellan by a close decision
Terrible style matchup for McClellan. Toney's wet dream is an aggressive fighter with poor defense who leaves openings for his brilliant counter punching. While G-Man was a vicious puncher, Toney's one of the toughest ****ers to lace them up. 3 KDs, no stoppage defeats, in 83 pro fights ranging from MW to HW. Toney wins a UD or stops G-Man late.
Which intangibles are you referring to,because I don't see McClellan anywhere near Toney in that department? And funny how you didn't mention chin, btw.
Not that great.Overrated McClellan was stopped by overrated Benn, who was stopped by Mike Watson.Motivated Toney beats Benn,McClellan and Watson(although not on the same night). And so does Mike McCallum, another ironed chin mother****er.
