Slow, small plodding headhunter who had no training camp? The simple fact that you even made that comparison, shows you know nothing about boxing. I could imagine it being more of a MW version of Jirov-Toney, though I am not sure Gennadyi would be able to step to 160lbs Toney the way Jirov did to Fat Toney.
if we're talking about a replica Toney from the Barkley fight then its one of the best match ups ever but i doubt that toney shows up. ggg ud
Both at their best, it's not a matte of who but how toney beats GGG. I am a fan of g cubed but toney at his best is one of the top five fighters I have ever seen and I have been watching boxing for over thirty years.
@ All the myth and lore around American fighters. Apparently all they need to do is take a fight seriously and they cannot possibly lose. atsch
Pre 90s American fighters are so lionized, over-hyped and looked upon with romantic lenses. Funny that as soon as the Iron Curtain fell, most US fighters became useless. Do you believe in coincidence? Anyway, GGG is a much better rounded fighter with a huge p4p power advantage on Toney.
GGG fights today's Ballpark Toney and it would still be Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo. Don't forget Golovkin spars with HWs and would not shrink away from this twinky.
Is there a top MW from history that El Chicano hasn't yet started a 'vs GGG' troll thread about?
IDK what any honest fan sees in GGG other than his power that makes him think he would beat Toney. The best version of Toney beats the best version of GGG, pretty simple!!!
