Overlooked when great technical fights are discussed. This was a hell of a fight and had both action and skill.

Too much boxing intellect on show to appeal to casual or people pretending to be hardcore fans.
McCallum didn't have the same sting north of 154 but was still an ATG at the time.
And I think he won,but I am a tad biased here.Never miss an opportunity to big up the Body Snatcher.

I disagree with him being two grades above Hopkins. Strongly.

Great fight, it's easy to forget how quick Toney used to be physically.

I always loved the Barkley fight myself.

The Barkley fight was a wonderful display by Toney, but that was against a guy who was tailor-made for him stylistically. I rate the first McCallum fight higher because both guys were master craftsmen.

One of the best two-way technical fights I've ever seen. Probably the best Toney ever looked factoring in the level of competition also. The Barkley fight was ridiculously impressive, but McCallum was levels above Barkley, and Toney had more spring in his legs than he displayed in most of his middleweight fights (and certainly more than he did when he moved up in weight).

True, I was referring to that fight as more of an awesome display piece for Toney.

****, I may have to watch this fight again.

The skill level in this fight is ridiculous, its like high speed chess played with the human body

Toney is slated to fight rising Aussie KO artist and Hatton stable fighter Lucas Browne in the land Down Under from what I read today.

I really fear that the fat and shot 45 year old Toney is going to get himself killed or permanently crippled in one of these fights.
