James toney vs Randy Couture

Penn is not the norm. Penn got his blackbelt in the time it would take most to get their blue. If Toney were capable of becoming that type of grappler, it will take a lot longer than 3 months for him to have any sort of defense to keep Couture from finishing him on the ground. Toney's only chance for ground survival is if he has been sandbagging on us, and secretly training grappling for a while. I don't believe he has, and am sticking to my assessment.

Toney has to ko Couture very quickly to avoid a loss. The only way Toney survives to hear the bell for the end of round 1 is if he avoids going to the ground for over 3 or so minutes. If Randy has much more than a couple minutes to finish Toney on the ground, he will. That said; if Toney has a couple minutes with Couture standing, and his back isn't against the cage, Couture will get finished.
