Both were punchers, I talked to freddie Roach who told me that Toney had a pretty good right hand. Toney is the smaller fighter and a good smaller boxer isn't good enough to beat a good tall boxer is the thinking in boxing.
Toney easily. This dude went 12 with Sam Peter twice way past his best and overweight af. You think he won't survive Kovalev? In his prime he was quite the fighter. Its possible that an ancient Hopkins could decision both Kovalev and Stevenson. These new guys are overrated.
Brutal beating by Toney. Kovalev cant hold his jockstrap. As a boxer Toney is way better then Kovalev, his power is lesser but that means jack ****ing **** when youre holding a granite chin like Toney. I say Toney rids of him late. Kovalev stands no chance.
Never seen Kovalev face any type of adversity, he's just been having his way against mediocre opposition. Could he hit Toney? Could he take Toney's return fire? Can he even go 12 at a decent pace? Smart choice is Toney wide UD.
Toney all day every day. ****, I'd watch Toney RIGHT NOW at Heavyweight vs Kovalev.. and I would be curious to see if Kovalev could actually get him outta there.
:good way too early to even compare kovalev with toney some people are so quick to jump on the bandwagon with power punchers before their time
No Toney would have the same KO ratio as Kovalev if he had fought they opponents. As for the fight Kovalev would struggle to land his power shots on Toney due to his head movement and JT would counter him. Different kettle of fish.....James Toney by brutal KnockOut!!!
