James Toney wants a MMA Fight in the UFC...

Toney sprawl? Ok dude. And no, he isn't a "physically strong" guy compared to Lesnar, Carwin, Dos Santos, Mir, Nog. He is a 5'9" fatso and would be completely destroyed in the heavyweight division in the UFC.

 

did i say he was strong for a HW? or did i say he was physically strong in general? Sprawling is not terribly difficult, and Toney has excellent instincts. You'd have to be high on 8 rocks to think he's beat someone like Nog Lesner or Mir. I know he could make 205 even 185 if he actually put some work into it and wasn't a lazy fat ****. He could beat some average fighters if he worked with the right combination of trainers to work on the right combination of skills.

And to be clear yes the image of fat Toney from the second Peter fight sprawling makes me laugh as well

 

Toney isn't gonna cut to 205 or 185 for the UFC :rofl If he could cut to 185 he would fight Hopkins for like 10 million! If he could get to 205 he could still be Cruiserweight Champ! And who is he gonna fight in this "biggest event ever" he's speaking of if not a legit Heavyweight?

first of all no frikin way Toney makes 205 or 185 for that matter ... getting down to 217 seems far fetched enough and Toney still looks like a blob

I could see that as a reason if Toney isn't allowed to fight in the UFC. but keep in mind Toney is 41 years old and to my knowledge outside of boxing has no other combat sport experience

and regarding superior strikers that might be true, but at the same time in MMA you don't have to stand up, and Toney is victim to being outwrestled

besides the Klitschko's having mandatory obligations I honestly feel they pitty James Toney, since Toney makes a habit of embarassing himself whenever he speaks for the most part

 

Toney could make 185 if he trained. The guy can make 215 and is still carrying a SHITLOAD of fat.

The problem is he is in the same boat as Mayorga and Briggs. They can't dedicate themselves to their own sport so why would they dedicate themself to MMA UNLESS a new sport ignites some new interest in them.

Alot of boxers are mixed martial artist already but I assume went into boxing because of the fame and fortune. I think some of them might be better suited or might prefer more contact.

Haye did karate and boxing. The Klits did kickboxing and boxing. The Hattons did kickboxing and boxing. Cintron did wrestling and boxing. Williams did judo and boxing. These are all top fighters.

 

Money Money Money my friend. This is the ONLY reason Toney is looking to go to the UFC, he thinks they will pay him alot of money. Dana White WILL NOT pay him more money than he can make fighting Hopkins at Cruiser! So if he is solely motivated by money, and a fight at Cruiserweight with Hopkins can't motivate him to lose weight then the peanuts White will pay him comparably isn't going to either. :deal

Nothing Toney says anymore is entertaining. He has lost ALL credibility in the HW division. He contradicts himself and just speaks nonsense. He calls himself the heavyweight champion of the world. The guy has been at heavyweight for over 6 years and hasn't won a piece of the championship yet.

 

I always wanted to see Toney getting KOed hard in boxing, but as this isn't gonna happen I'd love to see him het smacked in the face in mma.

James even at his age is a dangerous opponent in the square ring, probably needs the money after being ducked by most top heavyweight boxers. He will get creamed in MMA, still he has a punchers chance.
