James Toney had the talents to be the greatest ever but he squandered them for Burger King. Still, one of the most skilled fighters to lace them. He was born to box.

 

0-0 record for the proven drugs cheat, shame he could of been great if he wasn't on them.

 

Prime James Toney was aesthetically very pleasing with an excellent technical skills yet even though he was soo gifted he would regularly get dragged into life and death struggles with the likes of Sanderline Williams, Merqui Sosa and Dave Tiberi. His come from behind win over Michael Nunn was the highlight of his career.

Being the smaller man is the only thing that makes that win impressive since Jirov was a made to order eurobum.

Sheer skill and natural talent in spades............ one of the best skilled fighters ever.


You may like his PR style or hate it, but underneath the mouthing, you can't deny his status as an all time great fighter.

He went 24 rounds with a guy Wlad had to hug 42 thousand times to beat. While Toney was short, fat, and still goes toe to toe with the same guy.
