Oh so because he's too much of an undisclipined obese pig to stay in his natural weight division we should all give him a pass and declare him a P4P ATG......got it.

Prime Peter??? :rofl Please he was 26 when they fought with 23 fights. You Toney fans must share in the brain damage of your idol.

Blah blah blah, yeah go after Klitschko all you want like I said it doesn't change the fact that Toney got KD from a Sam Peter jab and is an obese deluded steroid cheating disgrace.

He was fighting like every 2 months, u can't expect him to demolish every fighter he got in with.

he's an american hype job he couldn't convincingly beat the body snatcher, a guy hailed as a P4P kingpin was given 3 close calls by a past his prime Mike McCallum. he couldn't even dominate Reggie johnson. He failed to win a single round against roy jones jr and montell griffin beat him. when you're dominated for 12 rounds and aren't even competitive against a prime roy jones, given 3 close fights by a past his prime mike macallum, given another close fight by reggie johnson and beaten by montell griffin how the **** can you call yourself great? he was overrated in my eyes.

Very pleasing style and at his best he was awesome.

However he was inconsistent and his fan boys tend to give him a pass for his defeats and the fact that he went life & death with some pretty average fighters.

Moreover I don't see how true boxing fans can love him so much when he's a proven drugs cheat - that's the sort of thing that shouldn't ever be over looked or brushed under the carpet. It's dangerous and it's robbing other boxers, fans, and the sport in general. All the great shoulder rolls and sweet counters in the world don't excuse it.

It's not about demolishing every fighter, Toney would regularly struggle or lose to inferior competition and this was in his supposed prime but i'm glad some people aknowledge the fact his defeats are glossed over and that he's nowhere near as good as some of his fanboys make him out to be.

Mike McCallum was past his best yes but even so he was still a great fighter when Toney had his fights with him.

Reggie Johnson was no pushover. Very good and solid fighter.

Royal-T-Bags, usually I agree with 100% but this time you are way off. Toney was a natural Middleweight not Super Middleweight . . .:D.

I get a kick out of people comparing Wlad's win over Peter to Toney's. Toney being fat and way, way, way post his prime and beating the best guy on the Kbros combined record.

Toney is one of my all time favourite fighters . . . he was not only a middlweight who moved up and beat some of the best fighters at HW . . . he was a fat MW, well past his best

You know what's funny? In 24 rounds against Samuel Peter, Wladimir Klitschko (a 6-6, 245 pound natural heavyweight) was knocked down 3 times. In 24 rounds, James Toney (a well-past it blown up middleweight) was knocked down once. That's funny.

Toney > Klitschko's. Why? Because unlike those overrated ****s, he actually beat fighters worth talking about. And actually had some skills other than jab and keep it at distance for a right hand. Watching the Klitschko's ****ing sucks....almost as much as reading your garbage ass posts.
