It doesn't matter. The DOCTOR stopped due to an injury caused by an ACCIDENTAL HEADBUTT. The rule is that if there's less than 4 rounds, it's a no contest. After 4, it goes to the cards. If the doctor stops the fight due to an injury caused by an accidental headbutt, it is NEVER a TKO. N-E-V-E-R. Obvious officiating mistake.
the controversy is that the doctor didn't see anything worth stopping, but rahman insisted on pretty much retiring
Rock quit it was'nt from head but it was from right hands, toney acutally hurt him in the last round thats why he quit.
Rahman quit, bull**** he can't see if he was a warrior he would of fought till the end.. really shows what the fight meant to him Toney deserved it. TKO woot !
Saying he couldn't see, based on where that cut was placed, was obvious bull****. Rock got hoisted here, and hopefully it sticks.
I hope not. They both need to retire, but at least Toney should be able to get a better fight on the strength of the win.
The doctor stopped the fight cause Rock said he couldn't see. The cut wasn't effecting his vision and the commission saw that and called it a TKO.
Remember Golota refusing to get in the ring with Tyson ... No contest was rulled afterwards due to Tyson testing positive, not due to Golota not willing to continue, whathever reason he had. In Rahman case it was Rahman who told doc that he can't see which was obvious he can't and don't want to continue.
