What's he up to, retired yet? Anyone got any links to any recent interviews/videos?

Btw no budding stand up comedians with the "he's at home eating cheeseburgers" please. If you're gonna come up with something original and funny fair enough, but please make sure that it's of the requisite quality.

    He recently split with Goossen.
Dan Rafael noted he was in talks with Lyakhovich for a july fight that seems inprobable now.
He also said he would like to meet Hopkins at Cruiswerweight.......

....the new mexican food place that is.

I'll give you that one as it raised a chuckle! Sounds like he's finished then, probably for the best.

he can still compete with some top guys, just not the very top, i cant see toney retiring unless they force him he loves to fight too much

I still wish to see him fight RJJ or Hopkins. Aged fighters but you could still be curious to watch.

It would be great if he could make Crusierweight. He has the skills to compete witht the best there. But realistically he should retire. He has done more than enough in this sport and I hate watching him at heavyweight now, scraping past guys like Fres Oquendo who he is light years ahead of in skill and just about everything else.

:verysad Oh well. I'll just go watch some prime James Toney when he was at MW/SMW. That should make me feel better.:happy

I've been told by a friend that Toney is at 215lbs right now, working out and in shape. I don't know if this is true or not, hope it is, but then again it would suck with him being in decent shape for once and not having a fight scheduled... I really hope he'll face Lyakhovich this summer, but then again I ask myself why he's calling out Hopkins now, that's really a bad sign - it's a sign that his own new promotional company 'Lights out promotions' hasn't planned **** for him and that he needs to desperately call for a fight against Hopkins at CW to keep himself in the news...

My advice is that Toney should sign with his old nemesis Don King and try to make a last run for the WBA HW belt. I know Toney can't stand Don King (who can?) but time is running out fast and Don King can get things done for old fighters...
