With all this bad news for us boxing fans these last weeks and months, full of boxing politics, ducking, Wlad-Haye and Mayweather-Pac not happening and what not, I'm posting this little humourous poem I've written a couple years ago about my favourite fighter James Toney facing Hasim Rahman in 2006...hopefully it will cheer some of you guys up! March 18. J.T. will step into the ring To show the world that hes the king To win this fight James Toney must be strong so hes sitting in the kitchen eating all day long Even if Lights out be weighting 300 pounds no way this fight will go past 6 rounds Hasim Rahman is gonna taste the floor his chin is glass and his skills are poor Because you must all understand J.T. got a terrible right hand His chin is chiseled out of granite and gloves filled with dynamite Never scared and always comes to fight puts your lights out and then its good night Slipping, dodging and ducking punches nobody can hit him even when he lunches Stronger than Samuel Peter and faster than Zab Judah make your last wish if you fight the Black Budah Inside and outside the ring J.T. is old-school made the Real Deal look like an old fool Big T fights anybody anywhere anytime at 37 years he still looks close to his prime Whoever he be fighting, he will beat and never lose earning good money with the support of Big Goose Three weeks to go, James Toney will be the new champ with a cigar in his mouth he be celebrating with his camp After the fight they gonna party at Burger King with the money he gets he buys some new bling
